GENERAL SETUP

You will have to set up the program parameters before you begin working with LECTOR. The setup screen will be displayed at the first start of LECTOR.

PREFERENCES SCREEN

  • Latin font: standard font for Latin texts.
  • Greek font: standard font for Greek texts. LECTOR supports several Greek fonts. Two of them (graece20 and Corinthus Lector) are delivered together with LECTOR.
  • Font size: standard character size for Greek and Latin texts.
  • Concordance parameters: lines before = no. of lines displayed before line with lemma, lines after = no. of lines displayed after line with lemma.
  • Search parameters: no. of search results to display: the indicated number of search results will be displayed simultaneously and can be exported.

DIRECTORIES

CD directory: The location of the CD drive you want to use to read the TLG / PHI CD-ROMs. If you have copied the content of the CDs to a harddisk or network drive, you may leave this field empty.
PHI 5 directory: Location of the content of the PHI CD-ROM (used only if no CD is present in the CD drive)
TLG directory: Location of the content of the TLG CD-ROM (used only if no CD is present in the CD drive)
User directory: Temporary location of the content of the PHI or TLG CD-ROM
Export directory: Location of results and texts you save in Rich Text Format.
Search result directory: Location of the search results.
Concordance directory: Location of the concordance and text comparison results.
