CREATING CONCORDANCES WITH LECTOR 2007

  • With LECTOR 2007 you can create concordances (word indexes with word contexts) of one or more authors.
  • All concordance results will be saved and can be reused later.

CONCORDANCE MENU

MENU ITEMS

Create New Create new concordance. You will be asked for the location and file name. The standard location is the "concordance directory" (see setup)
Open Existing Open a previously created concordance result.
Search Lemma: Search and display a lemma / word.
Sort frequency: alphabetically Sort the word index on the left side alphabetically (default).
most frequent first Sort the word index on the left side according to the word frequency (most frequent first).
less frequent first Sort the word index on the left side according to the word frequency (less frequent first).
Stop: Stop currently running concordance. The concordance will be deleted and cannot be reused later.
Close: Close concordance result screen.
Statistics: Add current form Add the word form currently selected in the word index on the left side to the frequency statistics graph.
Show Show the frequency statistics graph.
Clear Clear the frequency statistics graph.
